Domestic Sewing Skills - Open Sewing Class

This course will run each Tuesday from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM.
Who is this class for?
Sewers with previous experience who are looking to enhance or work on projects they have already begun, or are looking to begin however don’t know where to start. If you don’t currently have a project there will still be plenty to learn in this class from The System’s archive of skills and finishes.
What will I learn?
Each week you will be exposed to a new technique or finish from The System. You will also learn how to develop your own personal skills through your own project.
It is assumed that students attending this course know the basic anatomy of a domestic sewing machine as well as simple hand sewing principles.
What will be provided?
-All equipment and materials will be provided such as scissors, snips, and pins. Their use is included in the cost of the course.
-A variety of textiles for different purposes and skill levels.
-Most work will be completed on domestic sewing machines which will be provided. If you have your own machine that you are familiar with, you are welcome to bring it along, you may learn more about it through our class.
-Coffee, black and Japanese green tea.
Do I need to bring anything?
-A notebook and pen to take notes during class.
-Please bring your own water bottle to help us with our COVID-Safe plan.
Terms, conditions & cancellation policy
-A full refund is available for booking cancellations with two weeks notice.
-A 50% refund is available for booking cancellations with a weeks notice.
-No refund is available for booking cancellations within 48 hours.
-Transfer of a class booking to an alternative date may be discussed on an individual basis and may incur an administration fee.
-Classes are subject to a minimum enrolment number before proceeding.
-The System reserves the right to cancel a class at any time, at which point a full refund will be provided.
