Winter Hat is a 6 panelled hat with a flat top and round top variants are available, made from coating textiles as part of the Blob Suit tailoring story. The form is designed to frame the face like a regency-era bonnet
TEXTILES
All textiles in this style have been sourced from designer dead-stock supplier Wall Fabrics. This supplier is not only local, their practice is ethical and ensures that textiles that would have been sent to landfill are saved.
CHARCOAL is a Boiled Wool coating, woven in England. It consists of 100% wool fibres and has been finished internally with French Petersham grosgrain ribbon and a black and white 100% silk habutai lining
NAVY is a Twill weave coating, woven in Japan. It consists of 100% wool fibres and has been finished internally with French Petersham grosgrain ribbon and lined with teal coloured 100% cupro lining from Japan
CANDY-FLOSS PINK is a double-coating, woven in Italy. It consists of a blend of 90% wool and 10% cashmere. This fabric is a double faced fabric and is considerably heavier than the other two colour ways. The hat has been finished internally with French Petersham grosgrain ribbon and a candy floss pink, 100% silk habutai lining.
SIZING
The hat is designed to fit a broad range of head sizes from between 56cm to 60cm.
MAKE INFORMATION
Hats have been hand made using tailoring techniques in Naarm/Melbourne, Australia, at The System in the Abbotsford Convent.
