Candy Floss Blob Jacket
DESCRIPTION
Blob Jacket is a relaxed tailored jacket designed with a 3 piece raglan sleeve that softly sculpts the arms and shoulders to exaggerate the natural curvature of a relaxed human form. The outside detailing is minimal, with all pockets kept internal (two breast pockets) The edges of the jacket are left raw, finished with stitch detailing that is internally trimmed with hand made trim that faces the edges to reinforce the raw cut edge. This gives the edges their sharpness but also encourages the wearer to embrace the imperfections and impermanence of the garment. The Japanese philosophical ideologies such as Yūgen, Wabi and Sabi have been interlaced with the western principles of tailored cloth designed to emulate a form, some form, any form. Most likely the human form.
Other items related to this suit are of course the Blob Trousers, but the Bowler and Winter Cloch hats, as well as the Jerkin Gilet make this suit complete.
TEXTILES
All textiles in this style have been sourced from designer dead-stock supplier Wall Fabrics. This supplier is not only local, their practice is ethical and ensures that textiles that would have been sent to landfill are saved.
Candy Floss Pink coating is woven in Italy, it consists of a blend of 90% wool and 10% cashmere. This fabric is a double faced fabric and is considerably heavier than the other colour-ways this garment is made in. The garment has been finished internally with 100% silk habotai lining.
